Fancy a More Affordable Base for the 2023 Alpine World Championships?

They take place in Meribel & Courchevel next February. The neighbouring resorts of Les Menuires and Saint Martin de Belleville are stressing their advantages.

“Les Menuires and Saint Martin de Belleville are the perfect village ski resorts from which to see all the action at the Alpine World Championships 2023, without the cost and the crowds of the host resorts,” says a statement from the resorts.

“Better value, more snow,” it claims.

The quieter villages of the Belleville Valley provide access to 600km of pistes, with 85% over 1,800m.

The World Championship are two ski lifts away from the sporting action that takes place 6th – 9th February 2023.

“We are excited to have the Alpine World Championships just a valley away,” said the Les Menuires Tourist Office Director, Marlene Giacometti.

“By taking two fast lifts, our guests can soak up the vibe of a world class event, but then ski back to the quieter slopes of the Belleville Valley.

“We still have some great availability in our resort accommodation for the first week of the Championships and look forward to welcoming our visitors this winter season when we open on 10th December.”

PlanetSKI stayed in Les Menuires for a week in December 2021 and used it as a base to explore the mighty Les3Vallees.
