“I believe this is the very first time that we have a dedicated ski charter to Bergen Flesland,” said the CEO of Norway – Home of Skiing, Trevor de Villiers.
“Norway has so much to offer the customers as an overall Winter experience destination, value for money and guaranteed snow, that the word of the magical winter product Norway has to offer is definitely out.”
“The Inghams charter is simply brilliant news for all of us in Norwegian ski business and will looking forward to a long and commercially rewarding future together.”
British skiers to Norway are sharply increasing as people look north for snow-sure skiing and the unique Norway experience:
Norway – Home of Skiing, offers holidays to a number of resorts in Norway:
The company has been instrumental meeting the growing interest from British skiers and snowboarders.
The new Inghams charter compliments the ones offered by Crystal Ski Holidays from Manchester and London Gatwick to Oslo.
The UK operator Ski Safari has seen British skiers and snowboarders heading to Voss up 448% year on year.
Passengers to Myrkdalen are up 222%, and multi-centre passengers are up 823%.
“Having lived in Norway for five years and skied there for over 22 years, I’ve long been a fan and have been promoting the country in the UK market most of my working life,” said the Product & Sales Manager of Ski Safari, Andy Hemingway.
“The snow-sure destinations, friendly locals and uncrowded slopes really hit the spot for me and I’m delighted to see more and more people from the UK able to enjoy the same experience.
“This proven formula has provided consistent growth every single year since I introduced it to our programme at Ski Safari in 2012, and this year is no exception.”
