More Podiums for GB Snowsport Athletes

Zoe Atkin in the Freeski Halfpipe and Jaz Taylor in Telemark have secured two World Cup podiums. It follows on from earlier GB medal success. NEW
Zoe Atkin – Silver – Copper Mountain Freeski Halfpipe World Cup
Zoe Atkin secured her first podium of the season with one of her best ever displays of Halfpipe skiing, taking Silver on Saturday at Copper Mountain World Cup.
In a hotly contested battle, Atkin improved on each run and landed a monster 89.75 on her third run to take Silver behind Eileen Gu, who led from the front with a 90.50 in the first run.
Heading into the final run, Atkin had trailed Cassie Sharpe of Canada, whose second run 89.00 had pushed the Brit down into third spot, before a super clean third run catapulted Atkin back into second, less than a point from the Gold medal position.

“I’m super hyped to put down a solid run and be back on the podium after a tough event in China. Feeling excited and motivated to keep pushing as I move forward with the next few comps,” said Zoe Atkin.
“Zoe’s been training super hard lately and I couldn’t be more proud to see her back on the podium where she belongs,” added GBS Freeski Halfpipel Coack, Joe Schuster.
Jaz Taylor – Bronze – Pinzolo Telemark Sprint World Cup
Jaz Taylor followed up her Gold medal winning performance in Pinzolo with a third place finish at the second of the weekend’s Telemark Sprint World Cups in Pinzolo.
The result, which saw Taylor finish behind Kaja Bjoernstad Konow of Norway and France’s Argeline Tan Bouquet in first and second respectively, continues the Telemark Crystal Globe holder’s remarkable podium record at Pinzolo, which now stands at four in four races.
It also takes Taylor to 13 World Cup podiums since the beginning of last season.
