Birmingham Snow Show Goes Ahead

The London show has pulled the plug on this autumn’s event but the organisers of the one planned for Birmingham have confirmed to PlanetSKI it’s going ahead, with new brands joining the line-up. UPDATED

The National Snow Show will be held at the NEC in Birmingham on 23rd and 24th October.

More than 7,000 snowsports fans are reported to have registered their interest in going along to the two-day event.

The newcomers to the line-up include some big ski brands – Dynastar, Lange and Picture Organic Clothing.

The news follows the decision to postpone the 2021 London Ski & Snowboard Festival because of ongoing Covid-19 restrictions and the uncertainty over travel.

The London festival was due to take place at Battersea Evolution this coming October.

It will return there in October 2022.

It means the Birmingham event will now be the only main snowsports show this year in the UK.

Some big names will be there:  GB snowboarders Katie Ormerod, Billy Morgan, Jamie Barrow, Jamie Nicholls and Aimee Fuller will join skiers and  presenters Graham Bell, Warren Smith, Ed Drake and Chemmy Alcott.

“We can’t wait to open the doors on The National Snow Show this October,” said the MD of the Snow Show, Stephen Morgan to PlanetSKI.

“We have had a great response from the trade even during the challenges times that are going through and I know that the visitors can’t wait to reconnect with the Snowsports industry too. We are very excited.”
