Conquer The Mountain For Charity

Snow-Camp, the charity that helps inner-city youngsters get into snowsports, is running a big new fundraising event in Crans-Montana this winter.  It’s looking for teams to enter. Fancy it?

The AJ Bell Crans-Montana Marathon will be the first time in two years that the charity has been able to hold a fundraiser in the mountains.

The event will take place in the Swiss resort in February and will see teams of 4 compete in a series of winter sports over 2 days.

Activities include ski orienteering, laser biathlon, parallel slalom racing, a team distance challenge and a snow-shoe relay.

Teams compete for two awards: Top Fundraisers and Overall Winners.

The Overall Winners will be the team that wins the most activities.

It’s all about strategy, teamwork, fun and raising money for a good cause.

The AJ Bell Crans-Montana Marathon 2022 is run in association with the City Ski Championships.

Participants from both events will have opportunities to meet, network and compete against each other in the team distance challenge.

The Crans-Montana Marathon takes place from Thursday 3rd to Sunday 6th February.

In 2020 Snow-Camp ran the Courmayeur Classic in Italy.

It was a similar format to the Crans-Montana Marathon with 12 teams taking part.

The top fundraising team raised £11,200.

“It is a beautiful day here and when you get this view from your latest meeting you can’t complain.

“All pretty much in place for the big event. Just praying we can still get all the teams out here when 3-6 Feb comes around,” added Dan.
