Ski Tests Move to January

The Snowsports Industries of Great Britain, SIGB, has announced the event next season will take place earlier than usual from January 23rd to 28th. It sees the latest kit unveiled.

The tests see the main manufacturers unveiling the following season’s models to buyers and the snowsports media.

As well as skis and snowboards there are also some kit manufacturers and other products on offer.

The venue has not yet been decided.

Last season the event was held in March in Kuhtai in the Tirol in Austria.

The venue has not yet been decided for January 2023.

By moving to January the SIGB believes more potential venues can be considered, with a lower Test Centre altitude possible.

Previously venue choice was based on a minimum of 1,800m.

This will be reduced to 1,200m for the 2023 January event.

The tests will be 10-days after the Trade Show, SLIDE, that is also organised by SIGB.

It takes place at Telford from January 10th – 12th.
