Alpine Fleet – the New Transfer Service from Geneva

Airport transfers to the Alps have often involved either costly private transfers or cheaper but less flexible and far longer, shared bus transfers. Alpine Fleet plans to shake things up.

Alpine Fleet is a new and comprehensive transfer service.

It says the new service is for those “wanting hassle free, reliable and convenient transfers from Geneva airport to ski resorts across the French, Swiss and Italian Alps”.

It adds that Alpine Fleet offers “unrivalled shared and private rates, catering for all budgets”.

So, who is behind the new operation?

And, more importantly, will the promises be fulfilled?

The founder of Alpybus, Simon Carrelli, has joined with two other partners from within the industry to form Alpine Fleet SA.

“We offer shared, standard and luxury private transfers for any kind of group size,” said Simon to PlanetSKI.

“With a large pool of vehicles to choose from we are able to provide a simple private minivan transfer to arranging complex corporate events for thousands of people in coaches.”

To give you an idea, Alpine Fleet is handling this season’s Snowboxx festival in Avoriaz for over 2,000 festival goers.

At the other end of the spectrum prices for Geneva Airport to Morzine this winter start from €19.50 per person one way.

Other prices for shared transfers:

Chamonix from €19,50
Avoriaz from €24.50
Les Gets from €19.50
Val Thorens from €39.50
Meribel from €39.50
Prices for the privates vary hugely with different rates based on dynamic pricing, si it is best to check your individual requirements.

The Alpine Fleet team prides itself on years of industry experience.

“Our key operational and customer support staff have multiple years of service in the ski transfer industry and its three founders bring with them over 70 years of combined industry experience,” added Simon.

“We believe this know-how is pivotal in managing the complex issues that can occur on a busy transfer day.”

All vehicles used by Alpine Fleet are fully insured, registered and licensed to operate in France and Switzerland.

A booking tool on the website allows holidaymakers to choose the type of transfer for their needs and budget.

Transfers run throughout the year, providing a range of transport options, from well-provisioned private minivans, to larger luxury shared options.

SHARED TRANSFERS:

The best value option, Alpine Fleet offer shared transfers to some of most popular ski resorts across the Alps.

  • Chamonix
  • Morzine
  • Val Thorens
  • Avoriaz
  • Les Gets
  • Meribel

Alpine Fleet’s shared transfers are different to any competitor as each ski resort is covered extensively meaning all stops will be closer to a specified hotel or apartment, rather than just the local bus station.

Shared transfers offer the best value for money whilst also being the most environmentally friendly option.

Upon arrival at Geneva a uniformed Alpine Fleet rep will meet and greet clients, plus answer any questions.

The bus is just a stone’s throw from the airport terminal.

GENEVA AIRPORT

Geneva airport has a Swiss and French side.

The majority of arrivals land on the Swiss side in Terminal 1 and charters arrive into Terminal 2.

Unlike many transfer companies, most Alpine Fleet vehicles have priority parking outside Terminal 1.

On entering the arrivals hall from the baggage reclaim, take a left to locate Alpine Fleet’s dedicated transfer desk, staffed by English speaking reps.
