Burton Confirms Details of Cyber Attack

Some sensitive customer information was “potentially” accessed or stolen last February. Burton Snowboards has revealed more details.

The attack was discovered on February 11th and the company cancelled all online orders and asked people to go into physical shops.

It launched an immediate investigation.

“The investigation identified a limited number of files and folders as potentially accessed or taken by an unknown actor,” Burton told affected customers in notification letters recently sent out.
