GB Ski Tests Move to Italy

The 2026 SIGB Snow Test, Slide on Snow, will take place in Champoluc, Italy, from 26–30 January 2026. It has been held at La Clusaz in France in recent years.
Champoluc is a traditional mountain town in the heart of the Monterosa ski area and will provide a fresh setting for the UK’s annual snowsports equipment test.
Following research and site visits by test organiser Hillside Outside, Champoluc was selected for its lift infrastructure, excellent testing terrain and Italian hospitality.
With access to 132km of piste, quick test lap turnaround on varied terrain, and very quiet midweek queues, the location promises a highly efficient and enjoyable experience for all participants.

“Finding the perfect location to deliver a smooth and effective test is never easy, but Champoluc ticks all the boxes.

- Large, sunny test village at 2000m with 132km of piste and excellent off-piste
- Fast chairlifts with 5-minute access to both red and blue runs
- Elevation up to 2700m with tree skiing and variable terrain
- Quiet midweek queues for uninterrupted testing
The event is open to UK snowsport retailers, suppliers, and winter sports media.
Testing everything from skis and boots, to outerwear, gloves, goggles and the latest tech, it’s an important week for the industry ahead of key order deadlines to get together in the mountains and make new connections.
Organised by Hillside Outside, the 2026 Snow Test promises to be a fun and productive week.
