GB’s Mia Brookes Takes Another World Cup Victory

Mia Brookes recorded a fourth career World Cup victory as she finished first in the Beijing Freestyle Snowboard Big Air World Cup. It’s a perfect start for her Olympic season.

It was her first competition of the season and she was leading after the qualifiers.

She delivered the standout moment of the event in her second jump, landing a perfect execution of her signature Cab14 to be top of the standings ahead of the third run.

“I just came to put my trace down and have a good time, and ended up getting the win, which is super cool,” sai Mia.

Mia’s victory saw her finish ahead of Canada’s Hanna Karrer in second, and Japanese rider Momo Suzuki in third.

It was a good day for the GB Park & Pipe team with some other notable performances.

Team-mate Kirsty Muir, 21, was fourth in the Big Air final.

Mia Brookes is one of the favourites to win a medal for Team GB at the 2026 Winter Olympics that will be held in Milan-Cortina in Italy.

The Games start on 6th February.
