Ellie Soutter Foundation Closes

Following the death of GB snowboarder Ellie Soutter, the foundation was established by her father, Tony Soutter in 2018. Its aim was to offer support & therapy to snowsport athletes.
The Foundation was established seven years ago and has achieved a huge amount in that time.
It has touched and changed many lives.
“It is with great sadness that I wish to inform you we have taken the decision to close the Ellie Soutter Foundation, said Tony Soutter.
“The past few years have been extremely tough trying to raise funds for athletes has got harder and harder.”
The Foundation has:
- Grant-funded five athletes
- Provided financial support to a further seven athletes
- Spent thousands of euros on therapy for athletes and members of the local community
- Raised vital awareness of concussion in sport and the serious harm it can cause if left untreated
- Created a wider awareness of athlete well-being and the challenges they face each day
Through this work, the Foundation firmly believes it has touched many lives and families globally.
Tony Soutter, Ellie’s father, founder and president, said:
“I am incredibly thankful to everyone who has worked for and those who have supported The Ellie Soutter Foundation over the past seven years.
What started as a way to honour Ellie’s memory became an amazing journey filled with compassion, commitment and real change.
I am so proud of everything we have achieved together — the athletes we’ve supported, the awareness we’ve raised, and the lives we’ve touched.
While this decision has been very difficult, we feel the time is now right to bring the Foundation’s work to a close, knowing Ellie’s legacy will live on.”
After being congratulated by Tony on her Olympic selection, Maisie Hill said:
“Thank you so much to The Ellie Soutter Foundation, I wouldn’t be here without your help and support.”
The Ellie Soutter Foundation has extended its deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported its work.
“Ellie will always remain at the heart of everything the Foundation has done — and everything it leaves behind,” added the Foundation.
