Ski Resorts in Australia Open for the Season This Weekend

The King’s Birthday in the first weekend of June is always the traditional opening of the ski season. Sometimes there is enough snow to open the ski runs, sometimes there is not.

This year there has been some natural snow, and the temperatures has been cold enough in some ski areas for artificial snow to be made.

How many resorts are able to open some slopes remains to be seen, but it is not looking good.

Some resorts should be able to offer some skiing and snowboarding on the nursery slopes and beginner areas.

Thredbo, Corin Forest and Mt Buller have invested heavily in snow making in recent years.
