Valle Nevado in Chile Extends Season to December
31st October 2026
The resort will extend skiing on select dates through to December 1st, bringing its season to a record-breaking 154. It has had 7.3m of snow. NEW
The resort’s base elevation of 3,025m, combined with huge snowfall, cold temperatures and the work of its mountain operations teams, has helped preserve snow well beyond the resort’s traditional closing date.
“When we announced that we would extend the season through November 8, we were already making history,” said the General Manager of Valle Nevado, Dominique Rudloff.
“We are taking another step forward and demonstrating the full potential of our mountain.”
“Reaching 154 operating days is possible not only because we received more than 24 feet of snowfall this winter, but also thanks to the hard work, commitment and capabilities of our teams,” Rudloff added.
