Dog Caught in Avalanche Rescued By AirTag

19th October 2026

A huskydoodle called LouLou was swept away in an avalanche in Alaska.

LouLou was with two experienced mountaineers in Chugach State Park when an avalanche swept the men about 500 feet down a mountain ridge.

Both men survived but suffered serious injuries.

The dog was lost but she was wearing an AirTag and her location could be seen.

50 hours after going missing rescue teams found her.

She had a broken toe and tooth but was otherwise none the worse for her ordeal.
