Torchlight Descent of Argentine Glacier

More than 120 skiers transformed Argentina’s Martial Glacier into a breathtaking river of fire during Ushuaia’s iconic Torchlight Descent.

The event saw skiers carrying flaming torches down the snowy slopes as hundreds gathered to watch.

The celebration ended with the burning of a giant effigy, symbolizing the changing of seasons and leaving the past behind.

Held in Ushuaia, the capital of Tierra del Fuego, the event showcased the unique mountain culture of the world’s southernmost city.
