REACTION AS 24-YEAR OLD BRITISH MAN DIES AFTER NIGHT OUT IN FRENCH ALPS

His body was found at the bottom of a cliff face after a 12-hour search.

He was reported missing at 5AM on Thursday when he didn’t return to his accommodation in Bride-Les-Bains in Les3Vallees.

He was walking home after a night out in nearby Les Allues.

He became separated from friends on the way back.

A spokesperson for the Foreign Office said it is “supporting the family of a British man who has died in the French Alps”.

His body was spotted shortly before 5PM from a helicopter brought in to help after teams on the ground failed to find him.

His identity has not been released.

An investigation into his death is now underway.

The tragedy raises the issue of the dangers of walking home after a night out in a ski resort with alcohol consumed.
