FOUR TOP WAYS FOR KIDS TO CARRY THEIR SKIS

It’s half-term week and that means kids on the slopes. So how should they carry their skis? Our friends over at Maison Sport have been offering their advice.
Maison Sport should know as they represent 100s of independent ski instructors across the Alps.
Maison Sport is a company that connects people wanting lessons to instructors, without going through a traditonal ski school.
This technique is achieved by getting your child to hold their arms out in front of them and then scooping the skis up so they are lying horizontally.
This is popular amongst beginners, but can result in tired biceps!
If your child is testing this technique out, make sure they aren’t whacking other skiers with the ends of the skis in ski lift queues!
One for the child prodigy; carrying their skis on their shoulder with the tips at the front and bindings behind the shoulder.
Definitely not recommended whilst standing in a lift queue!
The Tommy Gun
For this technique, children are encouraged to tuck the skies under their arm, with the tips pointing forward.
This technique is great for general walking around, as it does not put any strain on children’s biceps.
Great for lift queues and a firm favourite amongst slightly older children.
This technique is achieved by encouraging your child to use the toe binding like a handle.
However, always ensure your child is holding the right toe piece, otherwise the skis will slip apart!
