The weather has been warm and windy the past few days so the snow pack has been affected.

Some of the recent snow has melted, but it is still pretty good at altitude.

Sunshine and blue sky is forecast for the weekend.

And here is what things may look like in Cervinia under Covid-19 regulations next winter according to our friends from Ski Solutions:

The other two glacier areas in Italy that are open are Val Senales and Passo Stelvio.

Last weekend in France glacier resorts of Tignes and Les2Alpes opened as we reported at the time:

There are now over a dozen resorts open in the Alps, but they are really only for locals due to coronavirus restrictions.

Borders are open, but there are quarantine and self-isolation requirements in place.

Going into Italy from the UK requires a negative test for Covid-19.

On the way back there is a 14-day quarantine requirement.

Austria has the most resorts open: Hintertux, Stubai, Soelden, Kaprun, Pitztal, Kaunertal, Dachstein and Mölltal.

In Switzerland there is skiing in Zermatt, Saas-Fee, Glacier 3000 and Diavolezza near St Moritz.

And lets not forget Scandinavia.

Idrefjell in Sweden is open with the help of floodlights and some stored snow from last winter.
