Visit Kitzbühel, in the Austrian Tirol, during the Streif Vertical Up:

If you want more that than downhill skiing to your ski holiday check this out option.

The Streif Vertical Up sees hundreds of competitors pulling on their head torches then powering up the famous World Cup run on foot.

It has a flavour of whacky races, but relies on human power and endurance.

The aim of the Streif Vertical Up is to conquer the original Streif, climbing 860 vertical meters of the famous ski run as quickly as possible to reach the top at 1,665 metres.

This year, the 3.312km race will take place on 25 February 2023, and will include competitors from across Europe.

Join in with the fun Backpack Event or the challenging Speed Event, plus, there’s also a fancy-dress competition.

Registration costs from €47 / £41 pp.

Stay 3 nights at Hotel-Restaurant Vordergrub, arriving 24 February 2023, from €425 / £374pp, based on two people sharing a room, on a B&B basis.
