Ski France Offers Four New Contactless Catered Chalets

Ready for the upcoming winter, leading French accommodation provider, Ski France, has added four new Contactless Catered Chalets to its portfolio. But what are ‘contactless chalets’?

“Guests will arrive at their Contactless Catered Chalet and find delicious food in the fridge, cool beer and chilled wine ready to drink, firewood neatly stacked, and beds beautifully made,” says Ski France.

“There will be delicious dishes prepared by a local delicatessen and delivered daily, needing just a few minutes’ preparation before simply sitting down to enjoy.

“In addition to food, skis or snowboards will be reserved at the local hire shop and lift passes will be delivered to the chalet.”

It was an idea that emerged during Covid times and has proved popular:

Halfway through the week the backstage chalet crew clean the accommodation from top to bottom, replace towels and re-stock the fridge and cupboards.

  • The staff are at the end of the phone whenever needed
  • Guests have the independence and comfort of their private chalet
  • Eating at the time they decide, with no-one hurrying them or watching over them
  • Still with the ease of no food shopping or meal planning.

Ski France now offers a wide range of contactless catered chalets across the French Alps including Val d’Isère, Méribel, La Tania and Alpe d’Huez.

These are divided into two groups – Classic and Premium.

Think three, four, or even five star – and include quality food and drink, afternoon tea and snacks, delicious dinner, a selection of drinks with unlimited wine and a generous amount of beer, and a seamless contactless service.

Staying at a contactless-catered chalet can also be good value, with a week’s stay costing from £600 pp.

And, if guests book before 30th September 2023, they receive one free six-day lift pass for every £3,500 spent on a Classic or Premium Contactless Catered Chalet.

Premium: Chalet Arolla, Méribel

Spread across three floors, Chalet Arolla (sleeping 10) blends traditional Alpine style with modern accents creating a spectacular space.

Think soft furnishings, wooden beams, and cosy corners for family and friends to enjoy.

The enormous top floor, comprising a generous dining area, spacious sitting room, and fully equipped kitchen, is a perfect place to socialise, especially after an exhilarating day on the mountain.

Even though the chalet is two minutes’ drive from the nearest chairlift, it’s nestled amongst snowy pines offering guests a wonderful level of privacy.

After coming back from the pistes, head to the steam room or sunken hot tub on the tree-fringed terrace.

Children, especially, will love the snug with TV for a fun place to chill out.

A week’s stay, from 13 December 2023, costs from £1,345 pp (£14,449 total*) for 10 people sharing the chalet on a Contactless Catered Basis.

This includes a daily private shuttle service to-and-from the slopes between 8.30 am to 10 am and 4 pm to 6 pm.
