Snow Camp provides young people from underserved communities the opportunity to develop invaluable life skills, qualifications, and career opportunities in the snowsports industry and beyond, whilst raising aspirations, broadening horizons, and carving brighter futures for all.
“We are so grateful to every participant, guest, volunteer, and supporter who made this year’s event such a resounding success,” said a statement from Snow Camp
“Of course, we also want to extend a huge thank you to AJ Bell, Beaumier Hotels and our many partners in resort who helped make the magic happen.”
Snow Camp Patrons and Winter Olympians Chemmy Alcott and Jenny Jones were official hosts.
Alongside them, Winter Olympians Graham Bell, Jack Gower, and Sam Temple also competed, while sharing their passion for snowsports and Snow Camp’s impact among their fellow participants.
The Highlights
Snowshoe Race: A true test of grit and determination, our 1km snowshoe hike quickly earned the title of “the hardest 1km of your life!” The incredible Jack Gower, from the Rojari Rockstars clocked the fastest time at 3.31 minutes, outstanding!
Biathlon: Always a crowd favourite, this snowy test of endurance and accuracy brought out everyone’s competitive spirit. Well done to all the sharp shooters who scored 10/10!
Zipline: In amongst the lung-busting challenges on the slopes, the zipline provided the perfect adrenaline-fueled restbite with ski’s on their back – James Bond style!
Orienteering: Teams raced against the clock to find 60 checkpoints across the whole of Val Thorens and Orelle. Huge congratulations to Team Snow Finel who were the only team to collect them all!
Team Distance Challenge: Powered by TracTrac, teams clocked up an impressive amount of kilometres across the Val Thorens valley over a two-hour challenge. Well done to the Avalanche Agents from Knight Frank who racked up an impressive 44.6 km to take the win!
Dual Parallel Slalom: Hosted and commentated by the brilliant Chemmy Alcott & Jenny Jones, the slalom brought high-speed excitement and huge cheers from all involved. It was a photo finish between Uniq X and Rojari Rockstars, with Uniq X clinching the coveted slalom win.
