More Resorts Close in USA but Skiing Continues

Several resorts closed at the weekend but there is still skiing to be had with some going into June.
Skiing and snowboarding is continuing in Arapahoe Basin in Colorado and the resort plans to be open until June 8th.
The resort saw 30cm of fresh snow last week.

Winter Park in Colorado is also open.
Utah:
- Solitude – w/ends only until May 26th
- Brighton – closes May 18th
- Snowbird – closes May 26th

Mammoth Mountain in California usually offers skiing and snowboarding into July, and sometimes into August.
It has already confirmed June skiing.
“The snow is still holding strong, and the spring conditions are as good as it gets,”said the resort on social media.
“Come make some turns and soak up second season.”

The California resort of Palisades Tahoe is due to close on May 26th this year:

Crystal Mountain in Washington is open for weekends only until May 26th.
Mt Bachelor in Oregon is set to close on May 26th.
Timberline in Oregon is also open with a closing in the summer.
Arizona Snowbowl has extended its season with skiing and snowboarding on offer this weekend:
- Saturday, May 17th
- Sunday, May 18th
The ski resort will push even further into May with skiing on Memorial Day weekend with skiing between May 23 and May 26.
It intends to go into June.

During these end-of-season bonus days, the Arizona Gondola will operate from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
No beginner terrain will be available.
The dates and details are correct at time of posting, but do check with the resorts as the timings may change depending on the weather.

Sunshine Village near Banff remains open and PlanetSKI reporter Alex Cove has just posted from the resort:

In British Columbia, Canada, the Blackcomb glacier at Whistler is aiming to be open until May 21st if conditions allow.
While in Quebec on the east coast Sommets Saint-Sauveur is open at weekends until Monday May 19th.

Ski Portillo in Chile has announced its opening day – June 21st.
It hopes to stay open until September 27th, conditions and weather permitting.
In New Zealand Mt Hutt on the south island has recently seen 1m of fresh snow and tit is set to open on May 31st.
