Glencoe Mountain Sells Ski Chairs

The Scottish resort raised £36,000 as 120 chairs from the centre’s former access chairlift went for £300 each.

They were sold at the weekend and the resort said demand was huge with people travelling from across the country to but a slice of Scottish ski history.

The ski centre had only intended to sell 107 chairs, but it said that as it did not want to leave anyone disappointed it had sold an additional 13 that it had intended to keep.

The money raised will go towards the £200,000 refurbishment and upgrading of the new lift
