The Provinces of Albert and British Columbia in Canada have decided not to put the clocks back this autumn.
Other areas of Canada see their clocks go back at 2am on Sunday November 1st.
It means it will be darker in the mornings and lighter in the afternoon so ski resorts are having to change their opening and closing times.
Most resorts will be opening half an hour later at 09.30 and shutting at 16.30 at the beginning of the season and may change later.
Sunshine Village near Banff in Alberta is against the new development.
“Come Sunday November 1st, North America will have a mess of time zones – thanks to the government of Alberta ignoring the results of a 2021 referendum,” said the resort on social media.
