Travelski Express Reverts to Overnight Departure

The direct weekend train service will now depart from London St Pancras for a Friday overnight service to the French Alps. It means skiers will still get 7-days on the slopes with a daytime return the following Saturday.

Travelski Express packages include return rail travel direct from London, accommodation, transfers to the accommodation and a seven day local area lift pass.

It had planned to offer a Saturday daytime outward bound journey with a night return the following Saturday.

It is will be in its second year of operation this winter.

Recently confirmed extensive engineering works across the French rail network, taking place on Saturday nights/Sunday mornings, would adversely affect the overnight returns so Travelski Express departures from St Pancras will revert to Friday evenings for the 2022/23 season.

This allows the return leg to leave Bourg St Maurice on Saturday morning, without affecting the length of the holiday.

The returning skiers will get back into London on Saturday evening.

It is the same timetable as last winter.

“Based on our feedback from last season, the extra day is a valued part of our packages and is therefore something we wish to protect,” said the CEO of Travelski, Guillaume de Marcillac.

“The network engineering would stop us bringing skiers back through Saturday night, so we are reverting to the proven timetables of last season.

“Importantly, this will allow us to continue to offer seven night ski holidays for the British skiers. Obviously, we are contacting all guests proactively about this change and this process is already under way.”

It offers holiday in 10 French ski resorts.

They are Les Arcs, La Plagne, Les Menuires, Val d’Isere, Tignes, Meribel, Brides les Bains, Val Thorens, Courchevel and La Rosiere.
