The organising committee for the Olympic Winter Games in France have announced who will oversee the four regional competition clusters.

It is an operational step forward as the search continues for a successor to former president, Edgar Grospiron.

The four are:

  • Anne Le Page in Haute-Savoie,
  • Stéphanie Jaillet in Savoie,
  • Pauline Maillet-Laïd in Briançonnais
  • Yann Ledru in Lyon and its metropolitan area

Three of the four were involved in organising the Paris 2024 Summer Games.

The aim is to strengthen coordination between competition venues, public authorities and other local stakeholders.

The committee described the aim as a need to “balance the project’s overall ambition with the realities and distinct characteristics of each host area”, according to a statement reported by Le Dauphiné Libéré.
