FIS Alpine Ski World Cup Night Race takes place on, January 7th, 2026. Italy’s oldest alpine skiing classic, 3Tr, has opened its promotional tour in London in the grand surroundings of The Oriental Club. PlanetSKI was among the selected guests invited. 

The race in Levi Finland saw two British racers make the Top Ten, with Laurie Taylor just missing the podium as he finished fourth. It was the first chance to see our GB alpine ski racers in action in this Olympic season after a summer of training. UPDATED

20-year old Luca Carrick-Smith is racing for Team GB in the opening World Cup slalom race in Levi in Finland this weekend. He and his two younger brothers represent an exciting future for GB alpine ski racing. UPDATED

The head of the International Ski & Snowboard Federation, Johan Eliasch, discusses the Olympic season and the upcoming International Olympic Committee decisions regarding the future of the Olympic program after 2026.

The International Ski Federation, FIS, has approved further moves designed to enhance safety  after a number of recent deaths. It comes as the 2026 Winter Olympics takes place in Italy next season.

The International Ski and Snowboard Federation has decided not to allow athletes from Russia and Belarus to compete in qualifying events ahead of the Olympics that begin next February.
