Eurostar Service to French Alps Expands

Eurostar has confirmed that its snow train service via Lille will run for winter 2025-26. It is on offer to April rather than February, and there will be extra dates for the return journey.

Rather than ending the service half way through the ski season at the end of February, Eurostar has extended the service to early April.

The last outbound departure will be on Saturday 28th March, and returning the following weekend on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th April 2026.

The service continues to go outbound to the French Alps on Saturdays, with  the same timings as last season.

It departs London St Pancras at 09:01, changes at Lille-Europe, and arrives Bourg-Saint-Maurice at 17:45.

However, the service will now return on two days of the week: Saturdays as well as Sundays.

“This is great news if you are choosing Saturday – Saturday accommodation,” said Daniel Elkan the founder of the web site, Snow Carbon, that specialises in train travel to the mountains.

On Sundays it departs Bourg-Saint-Maurice at 10:54, changing at Lille-Europe, and arrives London St Pancras at 18:27.

Tickets go on sale on Thursday 10th July 2025.

Eurostar is expanding it ski services and is planning on running trains to Geneva.

It is set to build a new fleet of up to 50 trains, costing around £1.7bn, and some will be used on the new Geneva route.

The journey will take five hours and 20 minutes and should begin in the early 2030s.
