A snowboarder has died in Valfrejus with 2 others still missing and a skier has died near Vars. It follows an avalanche in Tignes. All the avalanches hapened last Tuesday. UPDATED

Parts of Austria have seen more than half a metre though some of the main French resorts are missing out. Italy is good in places and there is some in Switzerland which saw its driest December for more than 150 years. UPDATED

The men were caught in an avalanche in Obergurgl in the Tirol on Saturday. A Dutchman died at the time while the British man was flown to hospital where he died from his injuries on Sunday. With other avalanche accidents caution is urged. UPDATED
