Ski coach crash victims seek damages

People on board the Skibound coach that crashed last month have hired a firm of lawyers to seek compensation. The driver died in the accident on the road down from Alpe d’Huez. They were all resort workers coming back from a witner in the Alps.

Alpine coach crash driver named and praised

He was driving from Alpe d’Huez with 52 British resort workers when the brakes failed. He crashed the bus into the mountainside to prevent it going over the edge. It had been chartered by the company Skibound. The driver died and 3 others remain injured.

Vail Resorts finalises Kirkwood deal

The US company has completed the deal to buy the Californian resort of Kirkwood for $18m. It already owns Heavenly and Northstar around Lake Tahoe. The area is undergoing a transformation.

Vail Resorts buys Kirkwood

It now own three resorts in California. It has bought Kirkwood for $18m to sit along side Heavenly and North Star in the Tahoe area. PlanetSKI will be there next week and will be assessing the development.

They are on the increase across the remote parts of The Alps. Food is in plentiful supply and they are protected as an endangered species. Is the wolf becoming a bigger danger? In France concerns are rising.

Warren Miller court case dismissed

The ski-film maker’s battle with the company he sold his name to is over. A judge has thrown the case out. It is a legal battle we have followed on PlanetSKI.
